While serving in the Illinois Army National Guard, Matt started his financial career at the Chicago Board Options Exchange in 2000, then spent 11 years at JP Morgan Chase and Wells Fargo Advisors.
After 14 years of viewing how the industry did business, Matt was determined to do things differently. He created his vision of what a wealth management firm should be and 83rd Street Wealth Management was born. 83rd Street will never sell annuities or mutual funds. Matt wanted to reduce as many conflicts of interest as possible and serve clients ethically and professionally in an effort to change their lives for the better.
Matt’s commitment to caring deeply for clients and providing well-researched advice has led to the expansion of 83rd Street Wealth Management. Although no longer serving in the military, Matts perspective of service above self translates into his work, personal life, and philanthropic efforts.
I can't expect a new client to trust me from the start. That's something I have to earn, but I can drop character clues by living a selfless and honest life. Because of my faith, military service, and volunteer experiences, I've picked up some pretty good life lessons and try to exemplify them daily.
Bob attended Bradley University and graduated with a BS in Marketing. He began his career in financial services in 1999 and has held several roles across the financial services spectrum. He was a Banker at Bank One/Chase Bank, National Sales Manager at BankServ, and Vice President-Relationship Manager for JPMorgan Business Banking. Today he is a Financial Adviser and Chief Operating Officer at 83rd Street Wealth Management.
Bob lives in Vernon Hills with his wife and their two boys. When not on the job, he enjoys being a grill master at a neighborhood barbecue, traveling, fishing, and cheering for Chicago sports teams.
